Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Shard in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Shard. These terms apply to all users, including free and paid plan subscribers.

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their authorisation, or create multiple accounts to circumvent bans or restrictions.

You agree not to use Shard to:

• Harass, bully, threaten, or harm other users
• Post or share content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights
• Distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited messages
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or network
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from Shard
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the service

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

You retain ownership of the content you create within Shard (quests, tasks, messages, etc.). By posting content, you grant Shard a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and process that content solely to provide and improve the service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you upload, including images and documents.

Shard and all its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Shard Inc. and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of Shard without express written permission.

Shard offers both a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All payments are non-refundable except where required by law.

We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Continued use of a paid plan after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Shard is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of Shard is at your sole risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shard Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or profits, arising out of your use of or inability to use Shard, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Upon termination, your right to use Shard ceases immediately.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Shard Inc. is incorporated, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will give you at least 14 days' notice of material changes. Continued use of Shard after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance.
